One of the best ways to streamline your product is to explain it to someone.
When writing a training guide, you’re laying out all of the steps that need to be followed to achieve a desired outcome.
If the process feels overly long or difficult to follow, ask yourself if there’s anything the product could do differently to make things easier.
It’s even better if you get to see someone going through a process – such as on a video call or a recorded training session – as it gives you live, interactive feedback on your product and also on your guide.
Look for areas where the user gets stuck – and if there are simply too many steps to go through. These are good places to start.
